Application for Marketing Lead · September 2026

Dmitry Sergeev

I find out what buyers actually think. Then I ship the campaign that week.

I've co-founded 10 companies, and I start each one the same way: interview buyers, map the competition, find the job the buyer hires the product for. Then I write the message and test it. That's how RichAds went from $0 to $1M MRR in 16 months.

This year my partner and I launched NOCREW Studio. AI drafts almost everything we make. Nothing ships without a human edit.

Your three asks

The three things you asked for

You said skip the cover letter. So here they are, first.

  • Two things I made, with results

RichAds: the customer journey map behind the funnel

Nine stages, with buyer language captured word for word. It showed the leak wasn't acquisition. Buyers stalled between signup and first deposit, asking "is this legit, and where are the cases in my niche?" I put niche proof at that exact step and a sales handoff at deposit, then scripted the webinar funnel around the same objections.

Part of the system that took RichAds from $0 to $1M MRR in 16 months and onboarded 20,000+ B2B clients.

Ultra Boxing VR: the landing page rewrite

I rewrote the page and the campaign messaging so specs like latency and haptic feedback read as things a player feels.

    Landing page conversion up 25%.
  • One idea for your first 90 days

New VPs of PMM inherit a message they didn't write. I'd test it with their buyers before they ask, and let the result start the conversation.

  • Something I built with AI

    Answerbase

A working SaaS MVP my partner and I built with AI at NOCREW Studio. A company uploads its FAQs and policies and gets a chat assistant for its site that cites its sources. When the answer isn't in the documents, it says so and saves the question for the owner.

Also built with AI: an outbound engine on Clay, Apollo and Make that raised meeting booking rates 40% and cut manual prospecting time 60%.

The 90-day idea

Their first 90 days

You asked what I'd do in my first 90 days. I'd build a campaign around theirs.

A new VP of Product Marketing inherits a message they didn't write, and gets about a quarter to form a point of view. Their opinion against the CEO's usually loses. Buyer evidence doesn't. That moment is Wynter's best use case, and it shows up on a schedule you can track.

How it works

Spot the move. Clay flags new VP and Director of PMM hires at ICP-fit companies where Wynter has the audience.
Test what they inherited. Within a week, Wynter runs a short message test of their homepage with 15 verified buyers from their market.
Send a private readout. One page: clarity score, three verbatims, and the one thing buyers didn't get. There's no pitch in it.
Offer the other twelve answers. The full report comes with a 20-minute walkthrough. That walkthrough is the demo, and it runs on their own data.

Every month the readouts, anonymized, become the Inherited Messaging Index: what buyers think of B2B homepages right after a leadership change. I'd push it as thought leader ads from your profile to PMM titles, and turn it into a "First 90 Days" webinar series with new VPs who opt in.

Why a VP of PMM would respect it: it's useful even if they never buy, and it lands in the quarter they need it most.

The 90 days

Days 1–30
Build the engine. A Clay trigger for PMM leadership moves at ICP-fit accounts. An agent drafts each test setup and each readout, and I QA every one by hand. The first 10 readouts go out.
Days 31–60
Learn fast. Send 10 to 15 readouts a week. After every 20, I rewrite the one-pager and the opening message based on the replies. First Index draft.
Days 61–90
Go public. Publish the first Index. Run the first "First 90 Days" webinar with two or three new VPs. Scale what books demos and cut the rest.
Readout reply rate Qualified demos per 20 readouts Cost per qualified demo Index reach in ICP titles
What I'd check with you first: the internal cost of a 15-person test, how many ICP leadership moves happen each month, and whether you've tried anything like this. We agree the kill rule before launch. If the first 20 readouts don't turn into demos at the rate we set, I change the offer before sending more.

Ten more

Ten more ideas

Ranked by how fast I think each one would book qualified demos.

Funding trigger

Companies that just raised a Series B or later rework their positioning. Offer a "test before you relaunch" sprint within two weeks of the announcement.

Moves: ABM demos

Fix my homepage, live

A VP of PMM volunteers. Wynter tests their homepage with their buyers in 48 hours, they rewrite it, and the rewrite gets tested on the next episode.

Moves: demos from viewers

Survey Says, B2B edition

A live game show: two PMM teams guess how verified VPs answered a Wynter survey. Clips go out on LinkedIn the same day.

Moves: webinar signups from ICP titles

Humans vs. synthetic

Run the same message test on AI personas and on verified buyers, then publish where they disagree. Wynter never uses synthetic respondents, so the gap is the story.

Moves: point of view, AI citations

One survey, fifteen assets

An agent pipeline that turns each quarterly survey into a LinkedIn series, a data page built to be cited by AI answers, a slide pack, a press pitch and a webinar.

Moves: reach per research dollar

Board-ready slides

Wynter research stats packaged as slides a VP of PMM can drop into a QBR, with the source on every slide.

Moves: Wynter's name in exec meetings

Own the AI answer

Find what marketing leaders ask ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity about message testing and brand tracking. Publish the best answer with original Wynter data, then track citation share monthly.

Moves: AI discovery

Ad Court

Brands submit their LinkedIn ads. Verified VPs judge them. Scores and verbatims go out every month.

Moves: LinkedIn reach among PMMs

Messaging Madness

A 64-homepage bracket judged round by round by verified buyers. Every company that advances shares it.

Moves: reach and backlinks

Co-research with PMM communities

Joint studies with communities like Product Marketing Alliance. They bring readers, Wynter brings the data.

Moves: partner distribution

How I work

Buyers first. Hooks later.

The same five steps at every company I've co-founded. It's what Wynter sells, done by hand and much slower.

Customer interviews

I run customer development interviews myself, before any copy exists. Two recorded examples from client projects:

Jobs to be done

What does the buyer hire the product to do, and what worries them about hiring it? At RichAds the job was protecting ad profit, so I positioned the brand around profit protection while competitors sold features. The job becomes the promise. The worry becomes the objection every ad and page has to answer.

Competitive map

Before I write a line, I map the category: value propositions, offers, positioning and GTM motions, down to the ads competitors run. I've done it at every company I co-founded. For a recent spec project, an AI agent startup selling to e-commerce brands, I mapped 11 competitors, then built the landing page and a Meta ad before the first call.

Customer journey map

The map shows where belief breaks, in the buyer's own words. That's where the offer, the proof and the next creative test go.

Weekly test cycle

Tests go live Monday. Results land Friday. The next Monday I cut or scale. I write the kill rule before launch, so I can't fall for a campaign that isn't booking demos.

Fit check

Your list, my evidence

Every skill from your "what you need to be good at" list, with proof.

Copywriting

I wrote the RichAds landing pages, webinar scripts and outbound sequences, and the Ultra Boxing VR page that lifted conversion 25%. At Telegang I wrote the hooks and made the creatives.

Campaign thinking

The 90-day idea and the ten above. On Meta: 150 creative tests in 3 weeks, 10 winners, CPL down 38%.

AI leverage

Answerbase. An AI outbound engine on Clay, Apollo and Make: meeting booking rate up 40%, manual prospecting time down 60%. AI video at NOCREW Studio. Claude for pages and prototypes; Midjourney, Seedance and Kling for creative.

SEO and GEO

SEO and content were core channels in the RichAds engine that onboarded 20,000+ B2B clients. For GEO I'd start by tracking which AI answers cite Wynter and which cite competitors, then publish original data built to be quoted.

Paid

$10M+ in ad spend managed across Meta and Google, plus TikTok, X, push, popunder and native. The system carries over to LinkedIn: creative volume, kill rules, and optimizing for qualified demos instead of clicks.

Content production

Product videos, demos and trade show footage at RichAds. On camera for Ultra Boxing VR demos and livestreams. AI video at NOCREW Studio.

Webinars and events

I scripted the RichAds webinar funnel and hosted the webinars. At Platform.io I ran the company's presence at 30+ international trade shows: $2M+ in pipeline. Link: Watch a RichAds webinar

Marketing ops

HubSpot, GA4, server-side GTM, Meta Conversions API, Clay, Apollo, n8n and Make. Lead scoring and MQL-to-SQL routing at RichAds.

B2B buyers

I sold adtech SaaS to B2B buyers at Platform.io and RichAds, and closed $50K to $200K enterprise deals.

Two-sided thinking

Your definition of a qualified demo includes "we have their audience". That's a liquidity constraint. I grew both sides of the RichAds network, so I'd aim demand where the panel is deep and flag the gaps to the panel team.
